No Standing
Thats what the sign says on that bulding. I'm in a strange place in my life wanting change but not sure which way to go and I'm rebelling against standing stll and want action now! but don't of course know what action to take. These inbetween times we hate but perhaps we need to cradle ourselves when in them. Hold ourselves in kindness and care.

Came across this great series of washing up taken by the photographer Nigel Safran.
Also enjoying you grow girl - and thinking I should be planting veg in pots.

Woke up unwell. Have cancelled 'work' and am taking it as a sign I sould take things slowly.
Brilliant news the super8 film I took in London a few weeks ago has been processed, telecinied and accoriing to my friend perfect in her answermachine message.
Two other mysterious messages on my phone. If anyone is trying to get hold of me I will be around tomorrow morning or best to email me.
In the meanwhile found this rather nice super8 pop promo on You tube (warming rather a loud song)
Do go to Jen Lemen's site and read about her project to create 'Hope'.
just spent an hour deleting comment spam hope thats the last of it.
I had to work both Saturday and Sunday whis weekend. A prospect which would normally make me feel a bit hard done by in the life stakes. However on Sat unexpectedly found myself at a friends for dinner red wine and oh joy of joys searching for 80's music on You Tube, Cockteau Twins, Scritti Politti, Spandau Ballet - with me insisting on playing Broken English by Marianne Faithful as the video was made by Derek Jarman.
On Sunday I made an effort and invited over some friends who I hadn't seen probably since last year actually in fact it might have even been well over 6 months since I last saw them. They arrived as I was frantically making a sausage casserole and gamely brought wine and milk the one thing I'd forgotten to buy the day before. However they found the casserole delicious and we watched a pre code 30's film on DVD after dinner. D is a great film buff his blog is here.
I'm convinced that seeing people face to face is quite a different experince than via social media. To encourage more social mingling here's my recipe for Sausage casserole
Fry pork sausages (leak and bramble apple from scotmid good) at least 3 or 4 per person. Fry until browned in a casserole.( you can use an oil flavoured with chilli if you want more of a flavour kick)
Then take 3 large organic leaks (from organic box) slice in lenths rather than rounds. Wash earth off under tap in collanger.
Add to the frying sausages.
Cut up two large courgettes again lenthways and add
Chop one apple leaving skin on and add to the casserole. Take 3 garlic bulbs and crush and add to the casserole.
Put a lid on and cook on low heat for 20 mins.
Meanwhile boil baby potatoes to have with the casserolle.

I got an extra copy when I was in Sydney - from the delectable Ariel Bookshop which I love - one branch in The Rocks and another in Paddington.
Anyway I'll give it away after a random draw from anyone who wants to comment on this posting. You don't have to say anything except Hi ! I'm just fed up with all the comment spam and would like real people to leave a missage!

Simply glorious day. Tempted to run off to the beach but have a long list of things to do. One of which will be to sit in garden with coffee !
A big part of me wishes to be in Sydney again - photo is I think near Crown St.

Read Superhero's post on being in the community more yesterday. it must have had an impact as I've been busy contacting people and arranging social meet ups. I'm off out for a coffee on my bench then off to the post office. I hope to go to the beach this afternoon
Time to enjoy spring,
